Hello 5-2 families :)
What a great first day we had together today!! You have such wonderful children...I had so much fun with them, I can't wait for tomorrow :)
I hope your children shared their day with you...we accomplished so much! We learned many of the classroom routines and expectations, and they were excited to be able to start using some technology today. Despite being a paperless classroom...I sent home several notices and letters on paper for you, so be sure to check with your child. Here is a list of what you should find:
- Introduction letter - this has some important information about our classroom.
- Million words or less - this is an assignment for you!
- 10th Inning letter - this introduces our monthly reward party, and needs to be signed and returned.
- Patrol letter - this introduces the 5th grade patrol program.
- Morning announcements - this is a permission slip for your child to participate in morning announcements.
- Lunch menu
This is probably the most paper you'll receive from me all year!! Most of the information I'll be sending your way will be on this blog or in emails. I'll send you an email when I update the blog, so you know when to check...but it would be a good idea to check in often :)
I also posted a couple of pictures from the first day on our website - you just need to scroll down to see them.
Parent Curriculum Night - Wednesday, August 28 ~ 6:30-8:30
